Camille Prunet


Camille Prunet obtained her PhD in Aesthetics and Art Sciences from University Paris 3 (Sorbonne Nouvelle). Associate researcher at the Laboratoire International de Recherches en Arts (University Paris 3) and at the école supérieure d’arts & médias Caen/Cherbourg, she is lecturer at University of Caen and at IESA school of art, Paris. She used to teach at University Paris 3.

She had previously worked for an art center, a regional contemporary art fund and then as research coordinator at ésam Caen/Cherbourg. Her research mainly focuses on representations of the living world, relationships between art and sciences, body art and performances. She has taken part in several symposiums, in France and abroad, and has published in several academic journals. She is part of the scientific committee of the academic review “Traits d’union” and coordinates an issue of the online aesthetic journal “Proteus”, untitled “Art under threat” (n°11),

She also contributes to the art criticism website “portraits-lagalerie.fr” and is a freelance researcher. In that way, she writes texts on artworks and artists for catalogues, regularly delivers trainings and participates to round tables or conferences on contemporary art.
